Mary Elizabeth Adkins, 91 of 1606 Fayette Street, Hinton, died at 11:30 p.m. December 4, 2015 at Summers Nursing & Rehabilitation Center at Hilldale following a long illness.

Born July 8, 1924 in Hinton, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Mary L. bond Coleman.

Ms. Adkins was a former employee of the Hinton Hospital and was a lifelong resident of Summers County.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Basil Sears, her second husband Vernon Adkins, two brothers, Robert and Luther Coleman and two sisters, Helen Fox and Margaret Kessler.

Survivors include her companion of 19 years, Basil Bragg. Four sisters, Jewell Linkenhoker Brinegar and Donna Bragg both of Hinton and Carolina Bragg and Betty Lou Hill both of Cleveland, OH. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

At Mary's request, the body has been cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
