Obituary

Mary Lee Anderson Rudge, 84 of Hinton, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017, in Charleston, WV.

Mary Lee was born, October 29, 1932, in Hinton.  She was the daughter of  A. B. Anderson and Mary M. Meadows Anderson.

She was a graduate of Hinton High School, and Marshall University.  She worked as a teacher at Hilldale School, and at Hinton High School for more than two decades.

She married George Rudge, June 30, 1954, in Huntington, WV.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, and a brother, Nathan Anderson.

Her survivors include two sons, Kip Rudge and friend Kittye Gibson, Mike Rudge and wife Erin, and one daughter, Pam Rudge Schafer, and husband Kyle. Seven grandchildren, Brittany, Melissa, Jillian, Chris, Corey, Maddie, and Gabe and four great grandchildren Jocelyn, Titus, Shiloh and Ezra also survive.  She is also survived by lifelong friends, Polly Sue Rogers, and Barbara Huffman.

She was involved in A.C.W. P. (Animal Control and Welfare Project), of Summers County.  She was also a member of the Alpha Xi Delta sorority.

Memorial contributions may be given to the A.C.W.P. of  Summers County.

Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Pivont Funeral Chapel.  Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until time of the service on Saturday.
