Mary Carol Meadows, 87, passed away on November 8, 2016 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, West Virginia after a long illness.

She was born in Hinton, West Virginia on August 17, 1929.  Mary Carol was the oldest of three children born to Craig and Estrue Eubank of Hinton, West Virginia.

She was married to the late James Ervin Meadows, and together they owned and operated E.M. Meadows Funeral Home in Hinton, West Virginia.  She continued the operation of the funeral home, along with her son Stephen Craig Meadows, after James' death in 1974 until 1991. After retirement, she focused her attention on her lifelong passion for home decorating and lawn design. Mary Carol was a member of First Baptist Church in Hinton, West Virginia.

Mary Carol is survived by her brother Daniel Craig Eubank of Jacksonville, Florida; her son Stephen Craig Meadows and daughter Kathryn Lynn Gwinn, their spouses Linda Osborne Meadows and Philip James Gwinn; four grandchildren, Cristopher Colby Meadows, Mika Beth Meadows, Philip James Gwinn II, and Mary Paige Gwinn; and six great grandchildren, Sean Meadows, Nash Meadows, Gracie Gumm, Cy Gumm, Mia Cline, and Harrison Campbell Gwinn.

She is preceded in death by her husband James Ervin Meadows, her son Thomas Ervin Meadows, her sister Kathryn Eubank Ball of Clifton Forge, Virginia, and her grandson Thomas Stephen Meadows.

Graveside services and burial will be held at Greenbrier Memorial Park on Saturday, November 12, 2016, at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Jeff Canterbury officiating.  A celebration of life will be held for family and friends at The Magnolia Room at The Guest House Inn in Hinton, West Virginia, immediately following the service.
