Mary Ann Cyrus, 77, of Brooks, passed away on January 13, 2018, at  University of Virginia Hospital, Charlottesville, VA.

Born in Hinton, August 26, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Hays and Mattie Williams Criddle.

She was member of the Central Baptist Church, in Hinton, and enjoyed going to the Senior Citizen Center, and enjoyed collecting light houses and being around her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two infant daughters, Tammy Sue, and Vickie Lynn Cyrus, and also a sister, Betty Meadows.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Jennings Cyrus, one son Mark Cyrus, Sr. and wife Donna, of Martinsburg, WV, one daughter Karen Sue Hostetter, and husband Gary, of Alderson.  One sister Virginia Massie, of Hinton, and 5 grandchildren, Megan Cyrus, Nathan Allen, Andrew Allen, Mark Cyrus, Jr. and Allison Hostetter. Several nieces and nephews including her niece and special caregiver, Sandra Angell, also survive.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 18, 2018, at Pivont Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating.  Burial will follow at the Fox Cemetery, at Brooks.  Friends may call from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, at the Funeral Home.  Pallbearers will be Mark Cyrus, Sr., Mark Cyrus, Jr., Nathan and Andrew Allen, Megan Cyrus, and Emmett Cyrus. Honorary pallbearers are Gary Hostetter, Shawn Titta, and Bobby Cyrus.
