Mary Emma Trail, 97, affectionately known as "Tommie" passed away peacefully Saturday, April 6, 2024.

Born July 25, 1926 in Fayetteville, WV she was the daughter of the late Thomas J. and Margaret Cynthia Pennington Smith.

Tommie was a 1945 Hinton High School graduate and was a member of Central Baptist Church in Hinton.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Van Alton Trail

Left to cherish her memory are a son, Stephen Trail; two daughters, Kay Meador and Vana Trail; several grandchildren, special friend, Buck Reed, and two special grand-dogs, schnauzers, Groovy and Sparky.

Tommie's family wishes to thank The Villages at Greystone for their exceptional care and compassion shown to Tommie these last six months.

Burial at Restwood Memorial Gardens.
