Maynard Eugene Bryant, 84, of Hilldale, died Friday, September 20, 2024 following a long illness.

Born March 17, 1940 in Alderson, WV, he was the son of the late Jake and Bessie Dixon Bryant.

Mr. Bryant worked for Boeing Co, Pepsi Cola Co. and retired from Mt. Vending.  He also served in the Army and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hinton.  He enjoyed hunting as long as health permitted.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Albert, Lacy, Luster and Plummer Bryant; sisters, Mable Berry, Estie Tincher, Nellie Tincher, Fannie Bryant, Viuna Bryant and Barcly Bond.

He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Ruby Jo Lester Bryant; stepdaughter, Karen Lee Webb (Mark) of Hinton; sister, Lee Ducker (Gene) of Florida; sister-in-law, Nancy Bryant of Ohio.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Warren Gilpin officiating.  Burial will follow at Restwood Memorial Gardens in Hinton.  Friends may call from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the funeral home on Tuesday.

Pallbearers will be Skeeter Lester, Steve McCoy, Jim Price, Eugene Jones, Jason Gore and Red Jones.
