It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Meridith Louise Vest, age 53, of Hinton, WV on Wednesday, March 25, 2026.

Born in Oak Hill, WV on April 12, 1972, she was the daughter of the late Arthur D. Vest and Linda Vest.

Meridith was a devoted homemaker who brought warmth and love to everyone she knew.  She loved nature, spending countless hours outdoors, and found joy in listening to her favorite country songs. Her dogs were her constant companions, and she loved them deeply.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Arthur Ray Vest.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, survived by her life partner, Jason Taylor; brother, Harold Vest; sister, Kimberly Vest; special niece and nephew, Sarah and Brad Vest; many cousins, nephews, and nieces also survive.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
