Michael H. Clayton, 42 of Hilldale, passed away Saturday August 6, 2022 at his home.

Born November 11, 1979 in Hinton, WV he was the son of Genevieve Jones Clayton Flint of Ballard, and the late Richard Allen Clayton.

Michael was a laborer and truck driver. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He was a  lifelong resident of Summers County.

Besides his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Chad Clayton.

Survivors include his mother and step-father, Genevieve Jones Flint and husband Harvey of Ballard, WV; one brother, Richard Shane Clayton of Talcott; uncles, Lloyd and wife Mary Jones of Jumping Branch, Calvin Jones and wife Pat of Michigan and Neil Jones and wife Donna of Texas; several cousins also survive.

Memorial services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday August 22, 2022 at Cashmere Baptist Church,  Cashmere, WV with Pastor Walter Bonnell officiating.  Interment will follow in Fairview Baptist  Church Cemetery at Forest Hill. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until service time Monday at the church.
