Michael Dwayne Willey, 59 of Beckley, died Friday February 24, 2017 at Beckley A.R.H. Hospital following a long illness.

Born September 19, 1957 in Hinton he was the son of Betty Willey Spade of Beckley.

Mr. Willey was a construction worker, a self-employed carpenter and also a former employee of J.Hibbard Sanders furniture in Hinton. He was of the Methodist faith. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking. He had been a resident of Beckley for the past 3 years.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Brady and Dorothy Willey and an aunt, Dorothy Scheiderich.

Survivors include his mother, Betty Willey Spade of Beckley; one son, Michael Willey of Ohio; one daughter, Sheila Lynn Willey of Hinton; two brothers, Steve Spade of Carolina Beach, NC and James Vandall & wife Sheena of Beckley; one sister, Renata Wiseman of Beckley; one grandson, Michael Willey, III and several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday February 28, 2017 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Lynn Halstead officiating. Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. until time of services on Tuesday at the funeral home.
