On July 14, 2024, we celebrate the life of Mildred M Smith. She peacefully left this world from Advent Hospice Care in Orlando on June 12, 2024. Her cremains were interred in Hinton, WV.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother Emery and Mabel Meadows of Hinton, WV, twin infant brothers, and her sisters Anna Mae Grimmett, Imogene Carr and Burdie Bryson.

She is survived by her husband Clyde William Smith, her son William B. Smith, her daughter-in-law Debra, and her two grandchildren Taylor and Haley. Her family also includes: her brothers Michael Meadows and Buford (Patricia) Meadows; her sisters Priscilla (Frankie) Hancock and Daisy (Roger) Cassell; sister-in-law Edell Williams and brother-in-law Randy (Maria) Toler. She has numerous cousins, nieces and nephews across WV and southern VA.

Millie was a member of Lewis Memorial Baptist Church in Huntington, WV for many years. She was an active member of her beloved Sunday School class at Eastland Baptist Church in Orlando.

Mildred was affectionately called Mom, Grammie, Sugar Babe, Sis, Sissybug and Millie. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who was always available to offer support, wisdom and love with warmth and generosity.

At the time of her death, she was approaching 83 years of age and had been married to her loving husband William/Smitty for 61 years 145 days. She is greatly missed.
