Myrtle Marie Holland, 92 of Hinton passed away Sunday August 7, 2022 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley.

Born September 9, 1929 at Green Sulphur Springs, WV she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Cordelia Cales Ayers.

Ms. Holland was a graduate of Sandstone High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of Lick Creek Baptist Church at Sandstone and was a lifelong resident of Summers County.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Owen Holland; one son, Gary Holland and several brothers and sisters. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Survivors include a daughter, Julia Cassa and husband Ronald of Williamsburg, VA; daughter-in-law, Janis Holland of Hinton; one grandson, Dave Holland and wife Nedra of Hinton.

Memorial services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday September 9, 2022 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in the Halidan Cemetery at Green Sulphur Springs. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home September 9 ^th .

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Main Street Care or Hospice of Southern West Virginia.
