Nancy C. Moten Kast, 84 of Hinton, passed away Saturday April 13, 2019 at Main Street Care in Hinton following a long illness.

Born January 16, 1935 in Hinton, she was the daughter of the late Garnet B. Sr. and Effie F. Samples Ratliff.

Nancy was retired from the main office at Bluestone State Park. She attended Riverview Chapel in Hinton and enjoyed crafting and needlepoint. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.

Preceded in death by her first husband, James E. Moten, Sr.; second husband, Robie Kast; five brothers, Bill, Roger, Don, Buck and Mark Ratliff.

Survivors include a son, James E. "Eddie" Moten, Jr. and wife Leisa of Pipestem. One daughter, Susan Goins and husband Lin of Hinton. Two brothers, Bobbi Rex Ratliff and wife Jeanie of Union and Jerry Ratliff and wife Janie of Covington, GA. Four grandchildren, Rick Puckett and wife Molly of Nitro, WV, Jay Moten and wife Amanda of Bluefield, WV, Jamie Goins of Hinton and Krista Goins of Charleston, WV. One great grandchild, Shanleigh "Little Darlin" Moten also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday April 15, 2019 at Riverview Chapel in Hinton with Scott Ross officiating. Burial will follow in Restwood Memorial Gardens in Hinton. Friends may call from 12:00 p.m. until time of services on Monday at the church.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
