It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Nathan Clay Graham of Jumping Branch, WV announce his passing on Monday, June 10, 2024 at Inova Fairfax Hospital at the age of 20.
Born April 5, 2004 at Lewisburg, WV he was the son of John Graham of Alderson and Misty Ellis Ratliff of Jumping Branch.
Nathan was a 2022 graduate of Summers County High School where he earned certification in building construction. He was employed in construction by Phillips & Jordan Inc. Nathan attended Bluestone Baptist Church at Jumping Branch. He enjoyed fishing and collecting vintage ballcaps. His collections were extensive. He was an avid Dale Earnhardt, Sr. fan and also loved going to concerts and smaller gigs for bands. Nathan had so much goodness, so much capacity to bring happiness to others and such a bright future. The world is a lesser place without him. He will forever be lovingly remembered by his family and friends.
Nathan was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Otis Shawn Ellis, maternal great grandmother, Ruth Holcomb, and paternal great grandmother, Ida Whittaker.
Those left to cherish his memory include his father, John Graham; mother, Misty Ratliff and husband Matt; beloved son, Huxley Tate Graham of Talcott; two sisters, Amber Adkins and husband Dylan of Hilldale and Faron Ratliff of Jumping Branch; paternal grandparents, Bobby and Charlotte Graham of Jumping Branch; maternal grandmother, Jean Lorraine Brabham and husband Dave of Tallahassee, FL; uncle Bobby Graham, Jr. of Jumping Branch; aunts, Lisa Graham of Jumping Branch and Stephanie Ibarra of Beverly, WV; step-brother, Joseph Ratliff of Jumping Branch; step-sister, Madison Ratliff of Jumping Branch. A host of friends too numerous to name that were very dear to Nathan also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday June 16, 2024 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Jeff Canterbury officiating. Burial will follow in Upland Cemetery at Upland, WV. The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm until the time of services on Sunday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be George Avis, Dylan Adkins, Seth Thompson, Zach Bowling, Nick Willey and Corey Adkins. Honorary pallbearers are Joseph Eldridge, Billy Lightner, Mario Nadeau and Greg Kessler.
The family would like to thank Phillips & Jordan, Inc. for the extraordinary compassion shown to them during this time.
