Norma Gay Gunter of Hinton, WV went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at the age of 75.

Born in Hinton, WV on August 10, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Ashby and Goldie M. Rakes Wiseman.

Norma was a life-long resident of Hinton and was an active member of Bellepoint Baptist Church.  Before retiring, she worked at Summers County Continuous Care Center in Hilldale and the sewing factory in Pence Springs.  Norma understood what it meant to be a homemaker.  She always provided a warm and inviting environment.  She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and latch-hook and liked to spend some of her spare time reading and watching TV.  Her greatest love and joy were spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Alice Faye Lilly and brother, Charles Wiseman.

Those left to cherish her memory include her beloved husband of 55 years, Bobby Gerald Gunter; daughters, Victoria Dawn Pickett of Charlotte, NC and Ellen Marie Samples (Dewayne) of Hinton, WV; sisters, Sherry Gwinn (Chuck ) of Hinton, WV and Debbie Wiseman of Beckley, WV; brother-in-law, Cline Lilly of Lewisburg, WV; sister-in-law, Ruby Wiseman of Hinton, WV; grandchildren, Kirstin Michele Pickett, Dominick Ashby Pickett, and Michaela Dawn Pickett, all of Charlotte, NC and Amber Nicole Brandon of Hinton, WV; great grandchildren, Baliegh Jade Fitzpatrick of Charlotte, NC and Sawyer James Nowak of Hinton, WV; many nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eddie Via officiating.  Burial will follow at the Richmond Cemetery in Sandstone, WV. Friends may visit from 12:00 pm until the time of the service at the Funeral Home on Saturday.

Pallbearers will be; Michael Pickett, Dominick Pickett, Justin Anderson, Peter Acosta, Chuck Gwinn and Billy Nowak. Honorary pallbearer will be Jimmy Massey
