Obituary

Patricia K. Cochran, 70 of Princeton, passed away Sunday March 9, 2025 at Maplewood Care Center in Bluefield, VA following a long illness.

Born July 10, 1954 in Hinton, she was the daughter of the late Charles Carrington and Ruth Spade.

Patricia was a graduate of Hinton High School and was the former baton teacher in Summers County and so loved teaching the young ladies of the area this talent. Her twirling troop performed in numerous parades in Hinton, most especially the West Virginia State Water Festival Grand Parade. Patty attended First Church of the Nazarene in Princeton as long as her health permitted. She was a lifelong resident of West Virginia, and enjoyed gardening, shopping and attending concerts.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Lee Basham.

Left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Ralph Cochran; two sons, Chris Anderson and Steven Anderson, both of Princeton; seven grandchildren, Natasha Anderson, Bayleigh Anderson, Sierra Anderson, Kinzey Anderson, Mason Anderson, Emma Anderson and an expectant grandson.

Graveside services and burial will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Greenbrier Burial Park in Hinton, WV with Pastor Eddie Crews officiating.  Friends may visit the family at Pivont Funeral Home in Hinton on Saturday at 1:00 pm until time of departure to the cemetery.
