Patricia Jane Foster, 86 of 1100 Taylor St. Hinton died at 9:35 p.m. Thursday February 18, 2016 at Rockin Chair Residential Care at Lerona.
Born August 22, 1929 in Sewickley, PA, she was the daughter of the late Herman F. and Flossie Jane Durst.
Ms. Foster was a retired clerk for the C&O Railway Company in Hinton with 38 years of service. She was a member of Miller Memorial Methodist Church in Hinton. She was a member of the Summers County A.R.H. Hospital Auxiliary with 29 years as a volunteer and was honored as Auxilian of the year in 2015.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton G. Foster. Also preceded by three sisters, Greeda Bartgis & husband John, Alberta Durst and Elizabeth Settle & husband Bill; a brother, Herman Durst & wife Phyllis as well as a sister-in-law, Ina Durst.
Survivors include a son, Keith A. Foster & wife Angela of Beckley. One brother, Frederick Durst of Union, KY. Two grandchildren, Dylan Keith and Bryce Van Michael Foster. Brother-in-law, Eugene "Frosty" Foster of Fayetteville, WV. Several nieces, nephews and care-takers and special friend, Jane Bragg and Donna Wykle.
The family would like to thank Dr. Stanley Day and also the staff of the Rockin Chair for their special attentive care.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday February 22, 2016 at Miller Memorial Methodist Church in Hinton with Pastor Betty Shields officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery at Ballengee. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Sunday at Pivont Funeral Home in Hinton and one hour prior to services on Monday at the church.
Pallbearers will be; Dylan and Bryce Foster, Greg Vandall, Paul Wykle, Jr. , Larry, Mike and Steve Durst and Tim Bartgis.
Honorary pallbearers will be; Jack Ashley, Bill Hank, Jim Miller and Scott Briers.
