Patricia 'Mitchell' Young, of Forest Hill went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 22nd, 2024 at her home in Forest Hill.

Born December 4th, 1964, in Hinton, West Virginia, she was a daughter of Charles Mitchell and the late Ramona Mitchell.

She married the love of her life, Jeff Young, on March 16th, 1985. They celebrated 39 years together in Forest Hill, WV where they raised their daughter and was blessed with the addition of two grandchildren.

Trisha was a graduate of the 1983 class of Hinton High School and Concord College. She retired from Giles County Public Schools after 25 years of serving others. She was actively involved with her church, Fairview Baptist Church in Forest Hill. She enjoyed teaching and planning Sunday Schools, youth programs, and Vacation Bible Schools for many years. Besides her love for the Lord and her family, Trisha enjoyed sewing. She loved to share her talents by gifting her sewing to others. Trisha had many special memories with childhood friends, Farley family from Ohio, close friends made through work, and many more. Her love poured out to all that was fortunate to know her.

In addition to her husband, Jeff, she leaves behind her daughter, Michelle Lucas, and husband Justin, of Forest Hill, and two beautiful grandchildren that she was so proud of, Hannah and Jazzlyn Lucas. Trisha is also survived by her siblings, Brian Mitchell and wife Kathy of Forest Hill, Keith Mitchell and wife Debbie of Beavercreek, OH, Terry Dixon and husband Marvin of Forest Hill, and Nerissa Young of Forest Hill. Many special cousins, nieces, and nephews whom she loved so much also survive.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at Fairview Baptist Church with Pastor Charles Drake officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.   Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until time of services on Thursday at the church.

Pallbearers will be served by family members, Andy Dixon, Mark Dixon, Marvin Dixon, Christopher Mitchell, Jason Mitchell, and Darrel Allison. Honorary pallbearers will be Hannah and Jazzlyn Lucas. In lieu of flowers, donations of sympathy may be made to the Samaritan's Purse Shoebox ministry of Fairview Baptist Church at 13152 Greenville Rd. Forest Hill, WV 24935.
