Obituary

Patrick Benton Boggs, 88, of Nimitz, passed away, Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at the Bowers Hospice House, at Beckley.

He was born, March 7, 1935, in Sutton, West Virginia, the son of the late Paul and Elizabeth Frye Boggs.

He was a Triple A Baseball player for the Milwaukee Braves.  In addition, he was an attorney, and graduated from West Virginia University. He was also a Deputy Director of the WVDNR, and also served in the Executive Branch Office of Surface Mining as Regional Director, appointed by President Jimmy Carter. In his leisure time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, and especially his dogs.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by, a sister, Barbara Walters.

Left to cherish his life is his wife Jeannette French Boggs.

At his request his body was cremated, and his cremains will be interred at Sutton, West Virginia
