Randall Clinton "Randy" Richmond, 69 of Sandstone, passed away Tuesday April 7, 2026 at his home following a sudden illness.

Born January 1, 1957 in Columbus, Ohio, he was the son of the late Russell C. and Ruth Reed Richmond.

Randy was a retired truck driver for Unique Balance and a contract mail carrier for the US Postal Service. He also previously owned and operated a contract cleaning business in North Carolina before returning to West Virginia. He was a member of Chestnut Grove Baptist Church at Hix and enjoyed gardening, especially tending fruit trees and woodworking. The greatest joy in his life was spending time with his beloved grandchildren.

Besides his parents, Randy was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Connie Mills Richmond; a grandson, Tucker Richmond; one sister, Karen Wenger and two brothers, Wayne and Gregory Richmond.

Left to cherish his memory include two sons, Steven Richmond of Clayton, WV and Nicholas Richmond and fiancée Grace of Sandstone, WV; two brothers, Mark and wife Sandy Richmond of Hix, WV and Kenneth and wife Ulra of East Falmouth, MA; four grandchildren, Seth, Luke and Emily Richmond and Winter Knapp; two great grandchildren, Delilah Van Buren and Willow Dangott also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday April 12, 2026 at Tempa Baptist Church at Tempa, WV with Pastor Bobby Reed officiating. Burial will follow in the Mills Family Cemetery at Clayton, WV. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until time of services on Sunday at the church.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.
