Randy Wayne Wright, 47 of Keyrock, West Virginia went home to be with our Lord and Savior at 7:49 p.m. Wednesday October 8, 2014, after a courageous 7 year battle with cancer. Throughout the battle he remained optimistic. He was of the Baptist faith. Born July 2, 1967 in Hinton, Randy was son of the late Glenna Ruth Ward Wright and the late Billy Keith Wright. Maternal grandparents were the late Faye and Shan Ward. Paternal grandparents were Robert and Lillie Ella Gunter Wright. He graduated from Pineville High School and moved to Yadkinville, NC, where he worked for Spear Tire Service for several years. Spear was so impressed with his speed and compared him with NASCAR's pit crews. There wasn't a race that he missed no matter the circumstances. Randy was also employed with Whittaker construction as a mechanic. Those that had preceded him in death other than his parents and grandparents were a brother Kevin Wright, special aunt and uncle Doris and Arnold Stickler of Pineville, WV, who helped rear Randy. Randy is survived by a son Randy Wayne Wright Jr, His 2nd wife Faith Berninger Wright and two step daughters Jo Ann and Lee Ann Berninger. A special cousin Regina Cook & husband Jerome and their daughter Ellie and son Michael Aaron of Pineville, WV. Carolyn and Danny Foster of Jumping Branch, WV, Debbie and Darrell Woods of Flat Top, WV, Marsha Wright of Siloam, NC, Ronnie Wright and companion Frances Huffman of Madams Creek, WV, Sharon and Oliver Ward of Hix and Billy Ray Wright of Charleston, WV. A host of aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews and cousins also survive. Memorial Services will be held at the Mary Jane Memorial Church at 2:00 p.m. Saturday October 18, 2014, where he attended Church as a child. Pastor Herbie Cook will preside over the service. In keeping with the deceased request he will be cremated and his ashes will rest by his father, at Crews Cemetery at Nimitz, WV. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until time of services at the church. Immediately following the service, a memorial meal and time of fellowship will be held at the church.
