Norman Ray Bolling, 69 of New River Road, Hinton died Monday December 2, 2019 at CAMC Memorial Division following a brief illness.

Born February 19, 1950 in Hinton, he was the son of the late Nathan and Thelma June Bragg Bolling.

Ray was a graduate of Hinton High School and was retired from the maintenance department at Pinecrest Hospital. He was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed hunting.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Devin Bolling; one brother, Ronnie Bolling along with a close uncle, Fred Bolling.

Survivors include one son, Darren Bolling & wife Duy of Maiden, NC; one daughter, Amanda Bolling Thomason & husband Brian of Granite Falls, NC; companion, Lucy Hackney of Shady Spring; one brother, Sherman Bolling & wife Barbara of Hilldale; One sister, Joann Kuntz; a granddaughter, Autumn Bolling along with several nieces and nephews also survive.

A service of remembrance will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday Dec. 8, 2019 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Melvin Wills officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until time of services Sunday. Cremation will follow the service.
