Raymond Lee Maddy, 75 of Princeton, passed away Wednesday November 7, 2018 at Catawba Medical Center in Hickory, North Carolina following a long illness.

Born March 1, 1943 in Hinton, he was the son of the late Raymond H. and Wilma Meador Maddy.

Mr. Maddy was a 1961 graduate of Hinton High School and attended both Beckley College and Concord College. He was retired from the West Virginia Department of Highways as a materials supervisor. He was a member of the Army National Guard and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Burdette Maddy. Four sons, Brett, Shawn and Carter Maddy, all of Princeton, WV and Michael Maddy of Hickory, NC. One brother, Richard Maddy and wife Jean of Jumping Branch, WV.

Private graveside services and committal will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday November 12, 2018 at Restwood Memorial Gardens in Hinton with Pastor Jeff Canterbury officiating. There will be no visitation.
