Regina E. Cochran, 94 of Jumping Branch, passed away Monday February 5, 2024 at Princeton Health Care Center following a long illness.

Born in October of 1929 in Beckley, WV she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Zara Sweeney Meador.

Ms. Cochran was a graduate of Shady Spring High School. She was an entrepreneur and was engaged in several business ventures with her late husband, including real estate development and the operation of the IGA at Jumping Branch.  She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed cooking, gardening, scrapbooking and reading. She especially loved spending time with her family and friends.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ned P. Cochran in 2016. Also preceded by an infant daughter, Nedra Cochran, two sisters, Hester Lilly and Glema Vest and a brother, Denzil Meador.

Survivors include a son, Preston Cochran and wife Carol of Martinsburg, WV; two grandsons, Michael and Jonathan Cochran, both of Martinsburg, WV along with several nieces, nephews and cousins also surviving.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday February 9, 2024 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Elder Tommy Pack officiating. Burial will follow in the Cochran Cemetery on Mt. View Road at Jumping Branch. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until time of services on Friday at the funeral home.
