Reno "Glenn" Richmond, 90 of Nimitz passed away Saturday November 22, 2025 at his home following a lengthy illness.
Glenn was born October 9, 1935 at Pluto, WV a son of the late Reno Howard and Orva Mae Meadows Richmond.
Glen was a master of his trade, carpentry. He was employed by Hinton Builders Supply Company in Hinton for over 40 years and also formerly worked for the West Virginia Department of Highways. Following retirement, Glenn still enjoyed doing carpentry work for the people of Summers County. He was a devoted family man, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He loved the outdoors and kept a manicured home and lawn. Glen was a faithful member of Jumping Branch Gospel Tabernacle for many years and will be missed by his family, church family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Carolyn MacKenzie Richmond; two sisters, Shirley Keaton and Patti Rothe along with three brothers, Gene Richmond, Warren Richmond and Robert Richmond.
Left to cherish his memory include two sons, Rodney Glenn Richmond and wife Melissa of Searcy, AR and Eric Scott Richmond and wife Missy of Sod, WV; two daughters, Michelle Dawn Higgins and Bobby Broadwell of Pembroke, VA and Melissa Marie Warsinsky and husband John of Gastonia, NC; four brothers, Michael Richmond (Dina) of Daniels, WV, Audie Richmond of Jumping Branch, WV, Ralph (Janet) Richmond of Buck, WV and Rolfe (Kristine) Richmond of Beckley, WV; one sister, Rita Mae Lowe of Beckley, WV; sister-in-law, Margie Richmond; thirteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
The family would also like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Glenn's caregivers, Cassia Gill, Donna Reed and Jasmine Winkler.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday November 24, 2025 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastors Tom and Dalene Coffman officiating. Burial will follow in Lilly-Crews Cemetery at Nimitz. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
