Rhonda Lynette Harper Farley, born on January 23, 1951, in Charleston, WV, passed away, unexpectedly, at home in Pipestem, WV, on May 25, 2025, after a brief illness. She was the beloved daughter of the late William Grayson Harper and late Mary Martha Ratcliff, as well as the stepdaughter of the late Charles "Buddy" Wilson Martin. Rhonda has one infant sister in heaven, Linda Carol Harper and one brother, "Randy" Charles Randall Martin (Sharon Mabe) of Danbury, NC.

Rhonda was a devoted wife to Robert "Cotty" Farley for nearly 55 years and a loving mother to Mark (Joni) Farley and Angela (Jody) Richmond. As a cherished "GiGi", she brought so much joy to her grandchildren: Jordan (Corey) Joudry, Zach Farley, Hunter (Ashley) Richmond, Carter Richmond, Zoe Farley, and Willow Harvey, along with her great-grandson, Theo Joudry. Judy Jewell and Mary Wyrick were Rhonda's life long close friends. Mary's children: Andrea Barr, Carrie Jarrell, William Wyrick and their families were Rhonda's second family. She held other friends very close to her heart as well. In addition to those mentioned above, those left to cherish Rhonda's memory are brother-in-laws: Lee (Christy) Farley, William (Ann) Farley, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She treasured her time with friends and family.

A highly respected Christian educator, accomplished pianist/organist, Rhonda touched countless lives as a favorite teacher, counselor, friend, role model, mentor, seamstress, quilter, cook, baker, avid reader, gardener and crafter. Her kind and loving spirit, along with her incredible gift of hospitality, made everyone feel special and welcomed in her former classrooms and home. Rhonda was known for her strong faith in the Lord, consistently serving God and embracing her role as a talented writer/speaker/teacher/Bible study leader and pianist at her church. Rhonda was a member of the Pipestem Ruritan Club, Trinity Quilting Club and a Trustee for Jordan's Chapel, in Pipestem, where she and Cotty faithfully attended. Rhonda and Cotty spent a lot of time traveling and exploring historical and natural sites. They also loved spending time together at their farm at Sand Knob.

Rhonda had a passion for decorating her home for every holiday, ensuring a warm atmosphere for all who visited. She was gentle, yet strong in her convictions. She studied God's word and prayed daily. Always putting the Lord first, Rhonda exemplified grace and kindness in all her endeavors.

Rhonda's legacy of love, faith, homemaking, education and creativity will forever remain in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were privileged to know and love her. She will be deeply missed but cherished in the memories she created for those she loved.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Matthew Trail officiating. Friends may visit from 11:00 am until the time of services on Saturday at the Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at the Ellison Cemetery at Pipestem, WV.
