Ricky Dayle Atherton, 86 of Beckley, died Friday November 22, 2019 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley following a long illness.

Born December 23, 1932 in Buffalo, KY he was the son of the late Oscar and Wilmouth Atherton.

Mr. Atherton worked for the Defense Communications Agency in Washington, DC. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Patricia Gwinn Atherton.

At his request, the body has been cremated and interment will be in Wallace Memorial Cemetery at Clintonville, WV.
