Ricky Douglas Brown, 59 of Beckley, passed away Wednesday January 4, 2023 at Beckley A.R.H. Hospital after a short illness.

Born May 23, 1963 in Hinton, he was the son of the late Richard A. Wood and Reva Brown.

Ricky was a graduate of Hinton High School and was a cook for several different restaurants in Beckley and also Pipestem State Park. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed fishing and all sports. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan his entire life and loved his children and grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Erika Brown; four brothers, Gary, Chuckie, Allen and Michael Brown and one sister, Frances "Pixie" Brown. A great nephew, Isaiah Brown also preceded him in death.

Survivors include his children, Ricky Brown, Jr. of Savannah, GA, Kayla Banks of Hinton, Brandie Banks of Idaho and Adrianne Brown of Savannah, GA; fiancee' Tammy Austin of Beckley; sister, Wanda Lewis of Lewisburg and 8 grandchildren also survive.

Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday January 9, 2023 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 until time of services Monday at the funeral home.
