Robert Dean Cox, 64, of Beech Run, Hinton, died Thursday, June 29, 2017, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia.

Born August 9, 1952, at Ellison Ridge, he was the son of the late Robert Cecil and Claris Lilly Cox.

Formerly of Dover, Delaware, he was a Mechanic Technician, and member of the Teamsters Union Local 326, and United Mine Workers.  He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife Cindy Sluss Cox. One son, Robert Cecil Cox and wife Crystal, of Camden, Delaware, one brother Cecil Cox, and wife Anita of Tug Creek, five sisters Mary Ferguson, of North Carolina, Myrtle DeMarino, and husband Larry of Nimitz, Deloras Basham, and husband Benny of Suck Creek, and Virginia Cook and husband Oley of Jumping Branch, and Wilma Richmond, and husband Rodney, of Judson, five grand grandchildren, Matthew, Robbie, Nathan, Emily, and Savanah, and three great grandchildren Jordyn, Aaliyah, and Matt Matt, also survive.  He also is survived by many special nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Sunday, July, 2, 2017, at Pivont Funeral Home from 1:00p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Graveside service will follow at the Cox Farm Cemetery, at Ellison Ridge, at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Cecil Cox, brother of the deceased officiating.

Grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers.
