Robert J. Fleshman, 71 of Green Sulphur Springs, died Sunday May 14, 2017 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Born October 9, 1945 in Hinton, he was the son of the late John K. and Goldie Elizabeth Martin Fleshman.

Mr. Fleshman was a former saw mill worker and was a lifelong resident of Summers County.

He was preceded in death by a step-son, Choya Adkins, one brother, Roger Fleshman and a brother-in-law, William "Bill" Austin.

Survivors include his loving wife of 30 years, Darlene Ruth Fleshman. Step-son, Mark Adkins. One brother, Carl "John" Fleshman of Green Sulphur Springs. Two sisters, Bonnie Austin of Crab Orchard and Linda Berry of Green Sulphur Springs. Five step grandchildren and three step great grandchildren also survive, along with an aunt, Elty Roach and husband Paul.

Per his request, the body has been cremated and there will be no services.
