Obituary

Robin Kee Reid Turner, 59 of Hinton, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend passed away Thursday, September 15, 2016 after a long battle with cancer surrounded by her family. Robin was born November 22, 1956 in Hinton, WV. She was the daughter of the late Billie George and Mary Lou Reid. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a son Darrell Turner Jr.

Those left to cherish her wonderful memory are her husband of twenty three years Darrell R. Turner their daughter Courtney Turner Ford and husband Tucker, granddaughters Emma and Sophie Ford, sisters Jayne Reid Angotti and husband John, and Riley Reid Mann and husband David, and a special nephew Marshall Mann, all of Hinton. Also surviving are a brother in law Larry Turner and wife Barbara of Beckley, sister in law Kathy Eichenbaum and husband Richard of Roanoke Va, sister in law Gerri Turner, along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, close friends and the entire Summers County community.

Robin was a 1975 graduate of Hinton High School. She was also a 1979 graduate of Virginia Tech majoring in Biology. VT is where she gained her immense love for the Hokies. Becoming one of their biggest fans. She went on to receive her Medical Laboratory Technician Certificate from Bluefield Community Hospital School of Medical Technology and then started a 32 year career as Senior Medical Technologist at Summers County ARH. She loved her job, coworkers, and everyone she met.

She was a member of Saint Patrick Catholic Church in Hinton where she was an active member until her illness. She was a Red Cross Bloodmobile and Cancer Society volunteer, and avid Bunko player. She loved spending time with her family, friends, and pets (Homer, Morgan, and Jasper). It's rare to find a person with such a kind heart and beautiful smile. She was truly one of a kind and will be loved and missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held Sunday, September 18, 2016 at Pivont Funeral Home in Hinton, WV from 4until 7pm.A Christian Wake Service will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday.Mass of Christian Burial will beat 11:00 a.m. Monday September 19, 2016 at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Fr. Rey Landicho as celebrant.

Pallbearers will be, Ritchie Hannah, Scott Hannah, Ron Lilly, Jackie Scott, Greg Vandall, Jimmy Spangler, Bob Logan, Chris Pack and Shawn O'Farrell.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Walk for her Lifetime, Cancer Society, St. Jude, or Peyton Hospice House in Lewisburg, WV.
