Roger Ray Fleshman, 62 of Green Sulphur Springs, died at 1:35 a.m. Monday July 25, 2016 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley.

Born March 21, 1954 at Green Sulphur Springs, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Goldie Martin Fleshman.

Roger was a graduate of Sandstone High School and was a former coal miner, saw mill worker and truck driver. He was a member of the UMWA and was a former member of Lawn Baptist Church at Lawn, WV.

Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Fleshman and partner Mark Dick of Mt. Hope and Roger Dale Fleshman of Dallas, TX; two brothers, Robert Fleshman and wife Ruth and John Fleshman, both of Green Sulphur Springs; two sisters, Bonnie Austin of Crab Orchard and Linda Berry of Green Sulphur Springs; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday July 28, 2016 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Fred Hart officiating. Burial will follow in Upland Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until time of services on Thursday at the funeral home.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southern WV.
