Roger Lee Lilly, 69, of Pipestem, passed away on, Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at his home after a long illness.

Born September 24, 1948, he was the son of the late James Robert, and Easter Virginia Shumate Lilly.

Mr. Lilly was a graduate of Hinton High School with the class of 1966, where he played football and ran track.  He was a Battery Tech, for 38 years, with Ener Sys.  He was a member of Rocky Mount Community Church, where he served as Trustee.  He loved gardening, hunting, and the WV Mountaineers, and he also loved helping others, especially those in his church family.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three infant children, and a brother Jimmy Lilly, and one sister Jo Ann Johnson.

Those left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 48 years, Linda Lowe Lilly, and a son Chris Lilly, at home.  Two brothers, Danny Ray Lilly and wife Susie of Beckley, and Steve Lilly and wife Judy of Pipestem, one sister Patty White of Wyco, WV, a great nephew John, and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel, in Hinton, with Pastor Michael Bennett officiating.  Friends may call at Pivont Funeral Home, from 12:00 p.m. until time of service on Saturday.  Burial will follow at the Lilly Family Cemetery, at Pipestem, WV.  Nephews will serve as pallbearers, and honorary pallbearers are Jim Spangler, Joe Bays, Bobby West, and Wayne Campbell.
