Roger Lee Vandall, Sr., age 82, of Lawn, WV died on Thursday, July 27, 2023.  He was born on March 6, 1941 at Meade, WV to Leland and Irene Vandall.

Roger worked as a coal miner for Westmoreland Coal with more than 30 years of service.  He was a life-long resident of Summers County and an avid hunter.  He enjoyed farming and gardening.  Roger loved his family and was proud of his 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was of the Christian faith.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Raymond, Eddie, Junior, Eugene, and Timmy Vandall; sisters Violet Ennis, Vivian Vandall, Euthalee Walker, and Peggy Thomas.

He is survived by sons Roger Vandall Jr. of Lawn, WV and Greg Vandall of Meadow Bridge, WV; daughters Tamara Barnett of Danese, WV and Rita Barnett of Snow Camp, NC; sisters Dolly Bryant of Lawn, WV, Drema Neff of Lawn, WV, and Connie Fox of Meadow Bridge, WV; long-time companion Irma Hamrick of Springdale, WV; 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, July 31, 2023, at Pivont Funeral Chapel in Hinton with John Leheny officiating.  Friends may call from 12:00 pm until service time on Monday at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at the Vandall Cemetery on Fisher's Creek Road, Lawn, WV.

The pallbearers will be Roger Vandall, Leland Vandall, Melvin Jones, Timmy Vandall, and James Vandall.
