Rose M. Massey, 74 of Keeney Mountain passed away Sunday April 16, 2023 at her home following a long illness.

Born December 28, 1948 in Charlottesville, VA she was the daughter of the late John James and Marion Kate Drumheller McAdams.

Rose was a retired manager for K-Mart Corporation. She enjoyed reading and attending yard sales. She had been a resident of West Virginia for many years.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Massey; one daughter, Jacqueline Bryant and one brother, William Edward McAdams.

Survivors include a granddaughter, McKenzie Bryant of Harrisonburg, VA and a grandson, Chad Bryant of Charlottesville, VA; one sister, Betty Walker of Simpsonville, SC; companion of 20 years, Carlos Adkins of Hix; nieces, Lisa Schadt of Fountain Inn, SC, Allyson Hopkins of Concord, VA,  Betsy McAdams Snider of Orange, VA and nephews, Joseph Hopkins of Virginia Beach, VA, Jimmy McAdams of Florence, SC and Coy Rea of Lovingston, VA.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday April 20, 2023 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Benny Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Upland Cemetery near Hinton. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until time of services on Thursday at the funeral home.
