Russell Glenville Gwinn, Jr., 72 of Marie, passed away Saturday April 16, 2022 at Lewis Gale Hospital in Salem, Virginia.

Born July 2, 1949 at Marie, WV he was the son of the late Russell G. Sr. and Ina Marie Lilly Gwinn.

Russell was a truck driver and a US Army veteran.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Gwinn and a sister-in-law, Betty Gwinn.

Survivors include three sons, Tommy Gwinn of Blacksburg, VA, Russell Gwinn, III of Cashmere, WV and Jesse Gwinn of Christiansburg, VA; five daughters, Cynthia Gwinn, Carrie Lyons and Stacy Merriman, all of Christiansburg, VA, Bryanna French of Frankfort, KY and Taylor Whitteker of Princeton, WV; one brother, Roy Gwinn and wife Kathleen of Swanton, OH and nine grandchildren also survive.

At Russell's request, there will be no services.
