Ruth Hartwell Angell, 67 of Hinton went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday March 2, 2016 with her loving family by her side at her home following a long illness.

Born February 22, 1949 in Hinton, she was the daughter of the late Kenton and Irene Hodge Hartwell.

Ruth was a member of Beech Run Baptist Church for over 20 years where she served as treasurer. Ruth loved cooking, crafts, reading and puzzles, but most of all her joy was the children at her church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Lois Cook, Hilda Creasy and Barbara Hartwell, and three brothers, Jim, David and Tom Hartwell.

Left to cherish her memory include her devoted husband of 47 years, Sonny Angell and her two sons, Scott Angell and wife Donna and Steve Angell and wife Michelle all of Hinton. Five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. One sister, Betty Lamb and husband Donzie of Princeton. Seven brothers, S.K. (Bud) Hartwell of Beallsville, OH, Bill Hartwell and wife Judy, Roger Hartwell and wife Bernice, Ralph Hartwell and wife Judy, all of Hinton, Dan Hartwell and wife Valerie of Maryland, Gary Hartwell and wife Judy of Wayside, WV and Ronnie Hartwell of Charlotte, NC.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday March 5, 2016 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Bob Combs officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until time of services on Saturday at the funeral home. In keeping with Ruth's wishes, the body will be cremated following the service.
