Ruth Carol Richmond, 88 of Hix, went to be with the Lord Tuesday May 11, 2021 at Summers Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at Hilldale.

Born July 16, 1932 at Hix, she was the daughter of the late Otis and Grace Holdren Reed.

Ruth was a homemaker and member of Chestnut Grove Baptist Church at Hix. She was a loving mother and grandmother and cherished spending time with family and friends. She will be missed by them immensely.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Richmond; one daughter, Karen Wenger; one son, Wayne Richmond, and five brothers, Bob, Jesse, Alvin, Grover and Owen Reed.

Survivors include four sons, Mark Richmond and wife Sandy, Randall Richmond and wife Connie and Greg Richmond, all of Hix and Kenneth Richmond and wife Michelle of Cape Cod, MA; adopted grandson, Jeffrey Richmond of Kansas City, MO; three sisters, Lois Kincaid of Grafton, OH and June Wood and Jewell Thompson, both of North Ridgewood, OH; two sisters-in-law, Jane Reed of Ohio and Janet Reed of Hinton; 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild and a host of nieces,  nephews and cousins also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday May 14, 2021 at Chestnut Grove Baptist Church at Hix with Pastor Benny Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the O'Bryan Cemetery at Hix. Friends may call from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday evening at Pivont Funeral Home in Hinton, and one hour prior to services on Friday at the church.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.
