Sandra Kay Ellis, 78 of Jumping Branch, died at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday April 7, 2021 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley following a long illness.

Born May 24, 1942 in Hinton, she was the daughter of the late William and Lillian Tetter Shirey.

Sandra was a former clerk for J.C. Penney Retail Store in Hinton and a homemaker. She enjoyed playing bingo, yard sales and was especially fond of flower gardening. She was of the Baptist faith.

Preceded in death by her first husband, Ray Dean Pack; second husband Woodrow Ellis; son, Mark Pack; two brothers, Edward and William Shirey; three sisters, Betty Burgess, Wilma Plumley and Rosalie Hartsell.

Survivors include two sons, Michael Pack and wife Laura of Pensacola, FL and William Pack and wife Penny of Crestview, FL; daughter-in-law, Tresia Pack of Jumping Branch; step-son, Dwane Ellis of Forest Hill; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren also survive.

Graveside services and burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday April 12, 2021 at Lilly-Crews Cemetery at Nimitz. There will be no public visitation. Those wishing to attend the services are asked to meet at the cemetery.
