Sandra Honaker Yost, 76 of Point Pleasant, formerly of Hinton, died at 1:20 a.m. Saturday April 1, 2023 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown following a battle with surgical complications.
Born November 26, 1946 in Hinton, she is the daughter of Margie Cooper Mock of Hinton & the late Donald F. Mock Sr.
Sandy was a 1964 graduate of Hinton High School and was loved by everyone who knew her. As a young girl, she was known to make her male peers run in fear of her right hook. Her work ethic was unmatched. She had many occupations over the span of her life, and she did each with excellence. Her family was her life. If you ran into her at the store, you'd surely hear about them.
Besides her father she is preceded in death by her first husband, Billy Ray Honaker; and one brother, Donald F. "Freddie" Mock, Jr.
Besides her mother survivors include her loving husband of 34 years, Lance Yost; two daughters Kelly Brogan & husband Jim of Princeton; and Kimberly Toth & husband James of Point Pleasant. One sister Donna Pivont & husband Ray of Hinton. Seven grandchildren, Tyler Ellison, Kelsey Reynolds & husband Keith, Alexa England & husband Zane, Cole McCormack and fiancé Catie Carroll. Savannah Lidel & husband Matt, Katey Brogan Garwood, Chandler McCormack & fiancé Tyler Haga. Twelve great grandchildren, Maddox Ellison; Adeline & Nora Reynolds; Gemma Garwood; Lincoln, Langley, & Boston England; Ryder & Saylor McCormack, Jaxson Lacy, Blayke Carrol; and Cambreigh Simpson.
Two nieces Autumn Paluch & husband Ted, and Mollie Kaufman & husband Craig, and two nephews Donald F. Mock III & wife Juli, and Lee Pivont & wife Dena.
Pallbearers will be; Tyler Ellison, Cole McCormack, Zane England, Keith Reynolds, Matthew Lidel, Tyler Haga, D.F. Mock, and Quest Paluch.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday April 5, 2023, at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Jeff Canterbury officiating. Entombment will follow at Greenbrier Burial Park Mausoleum in Hinton. Friends may visit the family from 6pm-8pm at the funeral home on Tuesday April 4th, 2023.
