Sarah Marie Sawyer, 23 of Dawson and her precious son, Carter Wayne Harrah both went to be with the Lord on Monday June 26, 2023.

Sarah was born December 23, 1999 in Beckley, WV, a daughter of the late Tracy Bennett Sawyer.

Sarah was a 2018 graduate of Summers County High School. During high school, Sarah participated in basketball and volleyball.  She was currently employed at MedExpress in Lewisburg, WV.  She was a licensed phlebotomist and CNA.  Sarah loved going to the beach, camping, and shopping. But, her greatest love was her children. She previously attended Ramp Holiness Church at Sandstone and will be sadly missed by her entire family.

Besides her mother, she was preceded in death by her grandfather, Eugene Adkins; also preceded by an aunt, Roberta Grose. Carter was preceded in death by his great grandfathers, Malcom "Tex" Harrah and Don Gwinn.

Those left to cherish her memory include two precious daughters and Carters sisters, Rilynn Trace Wills and Brynlee Kate Harrah, both at home; Sarah's brother, and Carter's uncle Kevin Sawyer of Athens, WV; Sarah's two sisters and Carter's aunts, including Tiffany Gill of Hix, WV who raised Sarah after their mother passed and who was also Gigi to Sarah's children, and Brittanie Fisher of Talcott, WV. ;fiancée' Caleb Wayne Harrah of Dawson; Sarah's grandmother and Carter's maternal great grandmother, Mamie Richmond Adkins of Hix; Carter's paternal great grandmothers, Linda Harrah of Sandstone, WV and Jewel Gwinn of Lockbridge WV;  Carter's paternal grandfather, P.J. Harrah and companion Michelle Cales of Green Sulphur Springs, WV, grandmother, Jennifer Roach & husband Chuck of Nettie, WV; Sarah's three nieces who were raised as sisters, Cambree and Karley Cales and Kensley Gill; friend and father of Sarah's daughter, Rilynn, Austin Wills of Beckley;Sarah's 2 aunts and 1 uncle, along with a host of cousins also survive Sarah.  Baby Carter is also survived by an uncle Cody Harrah and fiancee Shelby of Beckley, WV; Sarah's best friend, Akira Graves of Hinton, WV along with a host of other friends very dear to her.

Funeral services for Sarah and Carter will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, July 1st, 2023, at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastors Benny Allen and Felix Baker officiating. Burial will follow in the O'Bryan Cemetery at Hix. Friends may call from 12:00 noon until the service time on Saturday at the funeral home.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.
