Sherman Floyd Richmond, 79 of Burlington, North Carolina, formerly of Hinton died Tuesday December 27, 2016 at the Hospice House in Burlington.

Born June 11, 1937 at Ballengee, he was the son of the late Roy H. and Ida Lee Leftwich Richmond.

Mr. Richmond was the owner of Industrial Welding Company in Burlington. He attended the Burlington Assembly of God and was a member of the Hinton Masonic Lodge #62 AFAM.

He is survived by his wife, Karen Caudle Richmond; Two daughters, Diana Ingle and husband G.V. of Gibsonville, NC and Lisa Holt and husband David of Elon, NC; three grandchildren, Christopher Clemmons (Stephanie), Brian Holt and Kara Ingle; two great grandchildren, Mason and Noah Clemmons.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday December 31, 2016 at the Oak Grove Methodist Church at Ballengee, WV with Pastors Howard Thompson and Brian Rainbow officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Ballengee. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until time of services on Saturday at the church.
