Stephen Ray "Stevie" Knight, 57, of Pool, WV passed away at his home Thursday October 6, 2016 with his loved ones at his side following a long courageous battle with lung cancer.

Born at Martinsville, VA June 10, 1959 he was the son of Carol Knight Ballard of Pipestem and the late William Knight.

Besides his father he was preceded in death by one brother Robert Knight.

He was a heavy equipment operator at surface mining operations in the Summersville area for many years. A member of the Cooks Chapel Baptist at Pipestem he enjoyed 4 wheeling, fishing and hunting and loved being with his sons and family.

Besides his mother he is survived by his wife of 26 years Angela Gunter Knight. Two sons, Jacob Stephen Knight and wife Shyann of Jumping Branch and Logan Ray Knight and wife Paula of Mt Nebo, WV.

Two brothers Melvin Knight of Bluewell and Ronnie Knight and wife Michelle of Beaver, OH. One sister Ellen Pack and husband Larry of Pipestem. Two granddaughters, Kenzli and Scarlett Knight and many special nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday Oct. 10, 2016 at Cooks Chapel Baptist Church at Pipestem with Pastors Rick Childers and Dallas Peyton officiating. Burial will follow in the Farley Cemetery of River Ridge at Pipestem.

Friends may call at the church on Monday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Jacob and Billy Knight, Travis and Jason Pack, Keith Snypes and Steve Antoline.

The family would like to thank the Raleigh Regional Cancer Center for all the love, Laughter and smiles.
