Thomas Franklin Harford, 82 of 519 4th Ave. Hinton died at 5:08 a.m. Monday November 30, 2015 at the VA Medical Center in Beckley following a long illness.

Born March 31, 1933 in Hinton, Tom was the son of the late Clifford "Ram" and Nell Hurt Harford.

Mr. Harford was a 1951 graduate of Hinton High School and was a U.S. Navy veteran. He married the love of his life, Maxine Iddings on June 19, 1953.

Tom was a retired clerk and crew dispatcher for CSX Transportation Corporation in Hinton and was a member of Central Baptist Church in Hinton.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Iddings Harford on August 5, 2006 and by a daughter, Julia Ann Harford on September 28, 2015.

Survivors include a son, Charles Harford and wife Dawn of Chicago, IL. Three grandchildren, Michael Harford and wife Angelia of Rainelle, Thomas Paul Harford and wife Shelly of Phoenix, AZ and Stephanie Bramlett and husband Cab of Dalton, GA. Three great grandchildren, Carly, Charlotte and Chandler Bramlett and two step-great grandchildren, Issac and Isaiah Carr.

Graveside services and burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday December 5, 2015 at Greenbrier Burial Park in Hinton with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Saturday at Pivont Funeral Home in Hinton.
