Thomas Franklin Marion, 78 of Brooks, died at 12:30 a.m. Friday October 6, 2017 at Summers County A.R.H. Hospital following a long illness.

Born January 17, 1939 at Sandstone, he was the son of the late Nova Richmond.

Mr. Marion was a retired saw mill worker and had lived all of his life in Summers County.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ethel Marion. One daughter, Jamie Berry and an infant grandson. His grandparents, Franklin and Martha Marion.

Survivors include his wife, Dolly Morrison Marion. One son, Jeremy Sumner and wife Margie of Fairmont, one daughter, Stephanie Goff and husband John of Webster Springs. Two brothers, David Roy Richmond of Green Sulphur Springs and Wesley Richmond of Shady Spring. One sister, Nancy Richmond of Ohio. Seven grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday  October 9, 2017 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with his brother Wesley Richmond.  Burial will follow in the Hicks Cemetery at Sandstone. Friends may call from 12:00 p.m. until time of services on Monday at the funeral home.
