Princeton
Thomas "Tommy" Harvey Walls, Jr., 58, of Princeton, WV and later Sanford, NC passed away peacefully at his daughter's home in True, WV on May 8, 2026, and is now healed and cancer free in Heaven with Jesus.
Born December 23, 1967 in Bluefield, he was the son of Crystal Hope White and the late Thomas Harvey Walls, Sr.
He attended Princeton Senior High School and graduated in 1986. He entered the work force at the age of 16 and was always a hard worker. He was a cook and later a manager at Shoney's in Princeton. He transitioned to the mining industry in 1992, where he remained for over 20 years, working his way up to a foreman position. In 2015, he relocated to North Carolina, where he held superintendent and management roles in the construction industry for Charah Solutions, Trans Ash, Clean Harbors, and most recently, Duke Energy, until his illness. In his free time, he enjoyed hearing his youngest children, David and Emma, play the piano and fishing with David while he could. He loved the Lord, his family, and all of his children deeply, and he was so proud of each of them. He had a sense of humor and a memorable laugh that will be so missed.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by two uncles, Dempsey White and Daniel Walls, two aunts, Ann White and Debbie Miller, and one cousin, Michael McGhee, II.
