Timothy John "Tim" Roop, 44 of Sandstone, passed away Thursday Feb. 11, 2021 at WVU Medical Center in Morgantown following a short illness.

Born June 12, 1976 at Gauley Bridge, WV he was the son of the late Harold R. and Rita Johnson Roop.

Tim was a graduate of Gauley Bridge High School and was an employee of Cramer Security in Beckley. He formerly worked as an EMT for many years and was actively engaged as an EMT First Responder during 9-11 in New York City. He attended Central Baptist Church in Hinton, loved fishing and most importantly, spending time with his beloved family.

Survivors include his wife, Ashley Williams Roop; a daughter, Isabella Roop of Richwood, WV; two brothers, Stephen Roop and wife Frances of St. Albans, WV and Dave Roop of Gauley Bridge, WV; three nieces, Nayomi Pollutra and Lila and Faith Williams;

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday Feb. 16, 2021 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in Upland Cemetery near Hinton. Friends may call from 12:00 p.m. until time of services Tuesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be; Chris Rue, Bill Cooley, Jeremiah Martin, Thomas "TJ" Williams and Steve Dunford.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Pivont Funeral Home to defray expenses.
