Tony Lee Yates, 53 of Pence Springs, died Saturday July 27, 2021 at his home following a long illness.

Born December 27, 1967 in Troy, Ohio, he was the son of the late David Earl and Virginia Reynolds Yates.

Tony was a former construction worker and was of the Baptist faith. He loved fishing and the outdoors.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Betsy Yates.

Survivors include his loving companion, Teresa Hunter; two sons, Tony Lee Yates, Jr. of Charleston, WV and Christopher Summers of Pence Springs; two daughters, Kathryn Hunter and Frances Lewis, both of Pence Springs; one brother, David Yates of Georgia and three sisters, Melissa Baxter, Samantha Shuman and Robin Yates, all of Georgia.

There will be no public services. Pivont Funeral Home has provided cremation services.
