Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies, her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.' Proverbs 31:10,27-28.

Vida Marie Farley Young Bennett, 92 of Hinton, WV joined the Angels in Heaven at 8:00 p.m. Saturday March 5, 2016 following a long illness.

Born January 31, 1924 at Madams Creek, WV a daughter of the late Andrew Lewis and Lucrecia Francis Bennett Farley.

Vida became a Christian at an early age at Martha Chapel Church, located at Madams Creek. She served faithfully as a Sunday School teacher, pianist and various duties at Martha Chapel. She later attended Bellepoint Baptist Church where she was a member of the choir, taught the Women's Bible Class and served as secretary. She attended church faithfully as long as her health permitted. Her hobbies included quilting and gardening. She enjoyed sharing vegetables with her family, friends and neighbors. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her family and enjoyed providing for them. Vida was employed by G.C. Murphy Company in Hinton for 18 years.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death her first husband, Moody Harold Young, second husband, Delmar M. Bennett, a daughter, Delores Ann Young Stack, brothers, Herbert, Otho, Roy, Marvin and Lowell Bennett, along with two infant brothers, Oris Basil and Dwight Moody Farley, sisters, Blanche Bennett, Audrey Williams, Sonya Bennett, Dexter Ramsey and Macie Bennett and a son-in-law, Donald F. Lane.

She is survived by two sons, Harold Dean Young & wife Amelia of San Antonio, TX and Billy Joe Young & wife Joyce of Shady Spring. One daughter, Betty Jane Lane Hinton. A step-son, Michael Bennett & wife Celene of Woodbridge, VA. Grandchildren, EvaMarie Lane, Maria Young, Lisa Young, Deborah Alvarez, and Nicholas & Jacob Scott. Great granddaughters, Stacey & Stephanie Alvarez and Makayla. Step-grandchildren, Caitlin and Brian Bennett, Amanda Imhoff & husband Shawn and their son, James. Brother-in-law, Dean Bennett & wife Janice and sister-in-law, Willie Faye Young.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday March 10, 2016 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastors Donald Hannah and Robert Shields officiating. Burial will follow in Lilly-Crews Cemetery at Nimitz. Friends may call from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be; Norman Farley, Jr., Larry Bennett, Jim Miller, Kim Bennett, Carson Lane and Benny Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be, Ted Rogers, Bill Sorg and Victor Morgan.

The family would like to thank Dr. Stanley Day and the staff of Summers County ARH Hospital and the staff of the Rockin Chair Residential Care, especially Amber for all the loving care give to our sweet mother and grandmother.
