Virginia Lee Horton, age 66, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 6, 2024 following a long illness.

Born on June 18, 1957 in Beckley, WV, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd E. and Rachel Pauline Perdue King.

Virginia was a beloved mother and grandmother who will be sadly missed by her family and friends. She attended Freedom Baptist Church at Powley's Creek.  Some of her spare time was spent fishing and flower gardening.  Virginia cherished and deeply loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Rachel Horton; two sisters, Molly and Janet King; two brothers, Clifford and Frankie King.

Those left to cherish her memory include her two daughters, Rebecca Adkins and Elizabeth Horton, both of Peterstown, WV; brother, Lloyd Wesley King (Melanie) of Crab Orchard, WV; sisters, Sharon Mills (Butch), Lloydette King, Lola Stewart (James), Lena King, all of Crab Orchard, WV, and Teresa Morton of Grandview, WV; three grandchildren, Dakota, Shawn  Jr., and Wyatt Adkins; 5 great grandchildren, Tyson, Isabella, Payton, Noah, and Raelynn Adkins; cherished friend, Zina "Horse" Adkins of Forest Hill, WV.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at 1:30 pm at Pivont Funeral Chapel in Hinton, WV with Pastor John Offenberger officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Beckley, WV.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until the time of service at the funeral home.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
