Vivian Nancy Sims, 87 of Hilldale, passed away Thursday February 28, 2019 at Summers County A.R.H. after a brief illness.

Born December 9, 1931 in Eggleston, VA, she was the daughter of the late Lucy Adkins.

Ms. Sims was a retired nurses' aide from Summers County Hospital and was a member of Rollynsburg Baptist Church at Talcott. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" Sims; one daughter, Sharon Shanklin; one son, Darrell Morgan and two brothers, Doug Craft and Junior Adkins.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda Ward of True and Gale Keatley of Hilldale. Eleven grandchildren, Karen Oaks, Cherie Reed, Sabrina Ward, Jason Morgan, Wesley Ward, Gary Kyle Shanklin, Jr., Diana Morgan, Chris Morgan, Jeremy Morgan, Renee Keatley and Brian Keatley. Sixteen great grandchildren, and two great, great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday March 4, 2019 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Dana Stalnaker officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah Church Cemetery at Hilldale. Friends may call from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
